Valerie Brite, M.Ed, BCBA, LBA
Valerie’s interest in special education and inclusion began in high school where she had the opportunity to work as a peer tutor in her high school’s special education classroom and volunteer with Special Olympics. During college she helped start a campus organization to support the inclusion of adults with disabilities and their college aged peers in their community that later became a chapter of Best Buddies International. After college she completed an internship with AmeriCorps as a volunteer manager at a refugee resettlement agency in Chattanooga, TN. In 2017 she moved to Seattle to join Northwest ABA as a behavior technician in the Tukwila Clinic. In 2018 she began her master’s degree in Special Education-Applied Behavior Analysis at the University of Washington. During her time at the UW she completed her practicum at the Experimental Education Unit (EEU) providing ABA services with Project DATA (Developmentally Appropriate Treatment for Autism) in an ABA classroom and in the inclusive Seattle Public Preschool classrooms at the EEU. Valerie rejoined the Northwest ABA team in July of 2019 and received her national credentials in November of 2019. She values cultivating fun and creative learning experiences for clients,collaborating with families and other providers, and constantly learning how to be a better behavior analyst. When she is not at work, Valerie enjoys kayaking, camping, and cooking with friends.
