Northwest ABA is committed to providing INDIVIDUALIZED, HOME-BASED ABA therapy for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder.
In ABA therapy, two types of professionals are involved: Clinical Supervisor and Behavior Technician (BT). A clinical supervisor conducts assessment, develops a therapy plan (also called “behavior plan”), monitors your child’s progress, and supervises a BT’s work with your child. A therapy plan will include learning goals (what your child needs to learn) and a plan for minimizing behavior of concern (e.g., aggression, tantrum). Typically, a clinical supervisor will see your child once a week or every other week. A BT provides 1:1 instruction for your child. A therapist implements instructional programs developed by a clinical therapist, collects data, and discusses your child’s progress with a clinical supervisor. How often your child needs to receive ABA therapy depends on your availability and your child’s developmental age and progress. In most cases, a therapist sees your child 3-5 times a week.
